Independent advisors for stadium and arenaTechnology steering, operations and fan data

EVE is a network of independent experts who have run stadiums, arenas and major events. We advise venue owners and operators so that ticketing, access, screens, networks and building systems work together, from the first brief to long-term operation

Five things to know about EVE

We sit with the owner and work with every stakeholder: architects and engineers, integrators and suppliers, operators and organisers, leagues and federations, broadcasters and media

Why owners work with EVE

On the owner's side of the table

A stadium or an arena is designed, built and run by many stakeholders: the owner, the architect, the engineers, the integrators, the technology suppliers, the operator, the event organisers and the broadcasters. Each one answers for its own part

Someone has to answer for the whole: how the systems work together, for the fan and for the people who run the venue. That is the job of an owner's advisor, also called an owner's representative or client-side technical advisor, and it is ours

EngineersPower, air, water, data
Main systems integratorInstalls the systems, often maintains them for the operator
SuppliersTicketing, access, POS, screens, apps
OperatorRuns the venue every day
Organisers and broadcastersDeliver the events and broadcast them

The layer that holds everything together

Data is the venue's fourth fluid

Screens, gates, ticketing and the fan's app all sit on the building's own systems. We treat technology and data the way engineers treat power, water and air: as a network the venue depends on, planned from the first sketch

Pick a layer

Building and devicesBMS, sensors, screens, ticketing, access, energy

InterfacesREST and OpenAPI, OAuth, webhooks: how systems talk

Unified dataCRM, identity, one view of each fan, retail media

Fan engagementThe journey, offers, one-to-one content

Technology only creates value when everything works together

Technology only creates value when everything works together. Data reaches the top only if every layer talks to the next

Three pain points we often find

Open a pain point to see the layer it breaks

Fan data sits in separate systems (ticketing, CRM, the app, payments), which limits what the venue knows about its audience and what it can earn

The layer it breaks: Unified data

IT, audiovisual, access and security systems are chosen and installed one by one, with no overall architecture and no proof they will work together

The layer it breaks: Interfaces

Driven by the journey's data, screens can show the right content on the right screen at the right time, and be measured as a medium sponsors pay for

The layer it breaks: Fan engagement

Explore the fan journey

Follow the fan, stop by stop

The fan's journey no longer starts at the gates. It starts on the sofa and ends back there. Each stop is a point where the fan passes from one system to the next, often run by different service providers. Most problems appear at these handovers, so that is where we look first

Technologies involved

{{ jr.t0 }}{{ jr.t1 }}{{ jr.t2 }}{{ jr.t3 }}

Two screens, two roles, one set of data

The fan's phone

The ticket on the phone is the only device that knows who the fan is. It links the person to a seat, to purchases and to preferences, and it carries their consent under GDPR. It is the channel for one-to-one contact, before, during and after the match

The venue's screens

Big screens, LED, signage and IPTV create the shared moment no phone can reproduce. Driven by the journey's data, they can show the right content on the right screen at the right time, and be measured as a medium sponsors pay for

How we work,
from the first brief
to year ten and beyond

We bring structure to complex projects so that people, technology and operations work together in the venue, from the first brief to long-term operation

The upper concourse of a stadium in the late afternoon sun, above the stands and the rugby pitch

We meet the owner, the operator and the commercial teams, map the systems and the data, and agree what the venue must do. The output is a programme the owner can take to the board

We write the tender documents, question the suppliers and test what they claim. The owner decides with a clear comparison in hand

We steer the suppliers through design, build and testing on the owner's behalf, until the systems work together in the venue

After opening we stay on: yearly reviews, renewals, the next tender. The venue keeps its knowledge when people move on

Start with a short diagnostic, bring us in for the whole project, or keep us as a standing advisor after opening

Why owners work with EVE

We have run venues

Our members have run or modernised Accor Arena, Paris La Défense Arena, Stade de France and Roland-Garros, and delivered technology for Paris 2024 and Rugby World Cup 2023. We advise on the kind of venue we have operated

We cover the whole venue

Venue briefs, IT and AV architecture, ticketing and CRM, the fan's journey, interoperability and cyber security. One team sees how each part affects the others

We are independent

We sell no hardware or software and take no commission from suppliers. When a platform is sold as API-first, we test it before you sign
